"Cat Woman"

Here locally in the Inland Empire, San Jacinto Communtiy College's Art Gallery had a recent call for art work featuring "Self Portraiture", I jumped at the chance to feature a fiber arts piece.  Artist were asked to complete either literal or abstract works of themselves in any medium.

Here is my self-portrait entitled  "Cat Woman".  It's my own facial characteristics combined with that of a large cat, a cheetah.  Anyone who knows me well is quite aware that I'm a dog person and that not a fan of house cats.  However, I love the energy of all big cats in particular the beauty and sleekness of the cheetah. Several years ago, I had the privilege to be able to play with a two year old cheetah named Ganzi in a wild animal reserve in South Africa.  It was one of the greatest experiences of my lifetime.
